Scan data is collected on behalf of the brand owner whose product you scanned. The lawful basis is legitimate interests in product security and fraud prevention.

We use only strictly necessary cookies. They are required for the service you are using to work, so they are always on and do not require consent under UK GDPR and PECR. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.

pages (products, product passports, warranty and membership cards, event tickets) — part of the check you asked for when you scanned the code: it holds a random
value that lets the verification recognise when the same phone scans a code again, so a
code scanned on another phone can be flagged as a possible copy. It is limited to that one
brand's verification pages, identifies no one, holds no personal details, and is used for
nothing else. It expires after two years; you can delete it in your browser at any time,
and the next scan will treat your phone as new.Optional data — device details and precise location — is shared only if you tick it on the verification page. Those choices are separate from the cookies above.
You have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to data portability. To exercise any right, email privacy@o4qr.com. We will respond within 30 days.
